1 oz @traderjoes Honeycrisp Apple Cider or Simply Apple Pure Pressed Juice.
1/2 oz lime
1oz Coruba
1 oz @plantation.rum Barbados 5-Year
3/4 oz OFTD
3/4 oz club soda
Flash blend with crushed ice and pour into a double rocks/Mai Tai glass
Garnish with fresh mint and
a cinnamon stick that has been lit🔥

Tribute to The Mai-Kai's 151 Swizzle
* 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
* 1/2 ounce sugar syrup
* 1 teaspoon grenadine
* 1/2 ounce falernum
* 1 1/2 ounces 151 Demerara rum
* 1/2 ounce dark Jamaican rum
* 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
* 3-4 drops Pernod

Pulse blend with 1 cup of crushed ice for 5-7 seconds. Pour into a chilled Swizzle Cup or 12-ounce glass, adding more crushed ice to fill. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

There were many delicious samples to be had today at the 12th @miamirumfestival, but my highlight was having some great cocktails created by the legendary @tobinellisdesign at the @barbancourtrhum_usa booth. It was a reunion of sorts: In 2011, I got my first taste of the festival in a memorable pre-party mixology contest at The Mai Kai. I had no idea my competitors in the Zombie Jamboree were the best in the business, including the esteemed Mr. Ellis (who won, of course). It was cool catching up 10 years later and great to see Tobin working with Barbancourt.
