Since there are no remaining Don the Beachcomber locations today, and as the menu has remained relatively stable since Mariano’s retirement, the Mai-Kai is a crucial case study into the nature of midcentury tropical cocktails.

Accordingly, the work of Mariano Licudine at the Mai-Kai permeates Tropical Standard. Our book is available for pre-order at your local bookstore or through the link in the bio.
