If you missed the Tiki fine art show at The Hukilau last month, you have another chance to check out some great work by artists such as Kevin Kidney, Jody Daily, Shag, Skot Olsen and many more at the Harold Golen Gallery, Miami’s premiere pop surrealist art gallery.<\/p>\n

\"Harold<\/a><\/p>\n

The gallery’s annual Fine Art Tiki show has its grand opening this Saturday as part of the monthly Second Saturday Art Walk in the Wynwood Art District of Miami. The area features more than 70 galleries, museums and collections. Many of them host parties and special events during the monthly art walk.<\/p>\n

The district is roughly bounded by Northwest 36th Street on the north, Northwest 20th Street on the south, Interstate 95 on the west and Northeast First Avenue on the east. The Harold Golen Gallery is in the heart of the action at 2294 N.W. Second Ave. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Food and drink are usually available nearby, including representatives from Miami’s burgeoning gourmet food truck scene.<\/p>\n

The Harold Golen Gallery is one of the more festive galleries in the district and one of the few that features pop surrealist art. Look for the Tiki torches out front and perhaps a band playing in front of the gallery.<\/p>\n

Jim now spends his time mixing cocktails, attending events and writing stories for this blog, which launched in 2011.
